Découpage Lab is the research strand of Découpage Collective. Based in the lineage of Jerzy Grotowski, as a group we use our knowledge and experience in a variety of different training approaches and methodologies to carry out embodied research into the Actor.
The collective is focused on nurturing a disciplined Laboratory setting: research and training are our priorities, and then from this we allow material to develop organically. When the time comes, this material shall shape our first Theatrical Happenings.
Our work is always supported and influenced by in-depth theoretical research into the field which we are examining. See below, collective member Oscar Zito giving a seminar on his earlier work into Polyphonic singing, Meyerhold and the Actor's focus.
