DECOUPAGE LAB
Research Strand of Découpage Collective

Découpage Lab is the research strand of Decoupage Collective. As a group we use our knowledge and experience in a variety of different training approaches and methodologies to carry out embodied research into the Actor. The roots of our work are based in the lineage that has grown out of the questions posed by Jerzy Grotowski.
The collective is focused on maintaining a disciplined Laboratory setting in which to train and research, without the drive being a push to generate Theatrical material. Research and training are our priorities, and then from this we allow material to develop organically, and when the time comes, this material shall shape our first Theatrical Happenings.

Our work is always supported and influenced by in-depth theoretical research into the field which we are examining. See below, collective member Oscar Zito giving a seminar on his earlier work into Polyphonic singing, Meyerhold and the Actor's focus.
