Hello everyone and a happy new year from decoupage collective!
We have some very very exciting stuff lined up for 2018 which we are finally ready to share here with you all. We can finally announce the next Project by decoupage collective ‘Outside’ is in up and running!
The cogs have been whirring for the last year and we think we’ve found the perfect time to begin. In Partnership with the wonderful Blue Elephant in Camberwell we have all the support we need to start RandD on the project. This project, will be written and Directed by Lea Richard, with assistance from the ever creative Marie-Laure Hay. It will feature Si Garner as deviser and performer and we welcome back our multi talented composer Holly Khan, who will be more involved than ever, live scoring the work throughout the process.
So, welcome to our Blog and welcome to the world of Outside. Here we’ll be keeping you up to date on the practicalities of the project, how the crew are doing and the day to day devising process. We will also share our research, what’s inspired us and what drives us to want to make this challenging work.
And now for our first piece of inspiration;
“I suddenly found myself showering for hours. I wash trying to wash it all off me, sometimes with a hard sponge. But even if I did so, I could still smell the men, the brothel, and the semen. It was like it was all inside me.”
Tanja Rham, quoted by Kat Banyard (Pimp State)
